SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – Spartanburg Communications/911 officials said issues reported in regards to calling 911 in the Woodruff area have been resolved.

According to Mike Flynn, director of Spartanburg Communications/911, the 911 service has been restored and tested, after faulty equipment led to Frontier Communications customers not being able to call 911.

Frontier Communications said the faulty equipment was found and replaced, and apologize to customers for the amount of time it took to resolve the problem.

“We are confident in their resolution and testing, and we ask that folks NOT make test 911 calls as this could negatively impact our handing of real emergency calls,” Flynn said.
