UNION COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A person died in a single-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Buffalo.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 5:15 a.m. on Buffalo-West Springs Highway at Rices Chapel Road.
Troopers said an SUV ran off the road, struck a mailbox, then two culverts.
The driver of the vehicle was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
The Union County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 41-year-old James Franklin Crawford, III of Spartanburg.
