Man dies during motorcycle crash on Geer Hwy in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, S.C. (WSPA) – A man was killed Tuesday during a motorcycle crash in Greenville County.

According to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, a 36-year-old man was killed at about 2:15 p.m. near 8155 Geer Highway in Cleveland. 

The man was driving on Geer Highway when he lost control of the bike in a curve, according to the coroner’s office. He struck a guardrail off of the side of the roadway and was thrown from the bike. 

He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the coroner’s office.

He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. 

His name has not been released. 

The coroner’s office and South Carolina Highway Patrol will continue to investigate the crash.
