Motorcyclist killed in crash on Autumn Glen Dr. in Spartanburg Co.

SPARTANBURG Co., S.C. (WSPA) – A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Spartanburg County. 

The S.C. Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 1:07 p.m. Tuesday at John Dodd Road and Autumn Glen Drive. 

Troopers said a motorcyclist was headed east on John Dodd Road when he crashed into a 2020 Nissan that was turning left on John Dodd Road from Autumn Glen Drive. 

The driver of the motorcycle died at the scene. He’s identified as Matthew Sorajaphithak, 34, of Lyman by the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office.  

Troopers said the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. 

The driver of the Nissan was not injured. 

South Carolina Highway Patrol’s Multi-disciplinary Accident Investigation Team and the Coroner’s Office will continue to investigate the crash.
