GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA) – New documents show that nearly $100,000 was paid to Savanah Nabors by the South Carolina Insurance Fund.

Nabors is the former administrative assistant of suspended Greenville County Sheriff Will Lewis. Nabors accused the sheriff of coercing her into having sex during a taxpayer-funded trip to Charlotte.

According to the SC Insurance Reserve Fund documents, $97,500 was paid along with $173,552 in legal fees as of January 11, 2019.

The federal civil case between Lewis and Savanah Nabors was settled in October 2018, ending a year-long legal battle.

The exact terms of that settlement were kept confidential.

Sheriff Lewis is still facing numerous charges including misconduct in office and misconduct of a public officer.
