SPARTANBURG. SC (WSPA) – Spartanburg Co. Deputies are investigating a burglary at a gun store.

Deputies say they were called to Camo, Ammo and Guns on Whitney Rd. for a burglar alarm on August 18 around 3 a.m.

When they got there, a man was standing behind cover of his vehicle at the driver side door and had a gun aimed at the door of the business.

He told deputies he was a relative of the owner and also a contact for the alarm company at the business.

He said he came to the business after he got a call from the alarm company that the door was broken.

He told deputies there was no rear entrance and that he had not seen anyone come out.

A deputy used a loud speaker to tell anyone inside to come out.

No one responded so they went inside.

The owner said the following items appeared to have been taken, but would do a full inventory later.

1 – 4 boxes of 12 gauge shotgun shells valued at $7 each.

2 – 3 boxes of .45 Federal Premium valued at $25 each.

3 – 6 Smith and Wesson pepper spray canisters valued at $10 each.

They estimate the damage to the door was $300 and total value of items taken is $163.
