Anderson bank robbery suspect identified, warrant out for his arrest

ANDERSON, SC (WSPA) – Police have identified the man who reportedly robbed a SunTrust bank in Anderson, Friday.

The suspect has been identified by the Anderson Police Department as Nathan Estrich Garner. 

According to police, the suspect arrived at the bank on North Main Street around 4:30 p.m. and demanded money from a teller.

After the robbery, a witness saw the suspect get into a tan, older-model GMC truck driven by another man and was able to give police a partial license plate number. The truck left the scene and headed south on Main Street.

A short time later, officers found a vehicle matching the description and found only one man inside the truck. The driver was detained for questioning, according to police.

It is not known if there were any weapons involved in the robbery. Nobody was hurt.
