ANDERSON Co., SC (WSPA) – It was a day full of learning for a group of Anderson County high school freshmen.
There were 32 girls invited to the Bosch manufacturing plant for a day of STEM learning. It’s the 3rd year for the event to help showcase to the younger generations what opportunities are available to them in their own backyard.
Bosch officials said they hire about 100 new people each year in all different levels and want to recruit local talent as well as females in the male dominated field.
“Science, technology, engineering and math are important and being a technical organization that we are it is in our blood and creates a pipeline for fresh ideas and it is what we are about at Bosch Anderson,” said Randy Bunch who is the HR Director.
At the end of the day, the students were presented with an opportunity to apply for a one thousand dollar scholarship for their continuing education when they reach their senior year.
