ANDERSON CO., SC (WSPA) – An Anderson County deputy receives the highest honor at her graduation from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy.
Deputy Brianna Shaver graduated on March 23, 2018 and was awarded the J.P. Strom Award. The award is given to the student who obtains the highest overall academic average during the basic law enforcement training program, including successful completion of all performance tests.
“The J.P. Strom award represents the cream of the crop, the best of the best, and we are so proud of Brianna and her outstanding accomplishment. Brianna is representative of the professionalism and excellence that we desire in our deputies. She truly exemplifies the high standards we strive for each day,” Sheriff Chad McBride said.
In recognition for her achievement, Shaver was presented with the keys to a 2018 Dodge Charger as her patrol vehicle by McBride during her graduation ceremony.
