ANDERSON Co., S.C. (WSPA) — Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore says Anderson Mayor Terence Roberts was taken to the hospital following a medical event.

Shore says it happened around 1:10 p.m. Sunday.

Roberts was transported to AnMed Hospital and later flown to Greenville Memorial Hospital as a precaution after he was short of breath and light-headed, according to a hospital spokesperson.

Roberts was listed in good condition as of Monday.

Council member Richard Laughridge says the mayor passed out on Sunday.

Roberts has been mayor since 2006.
