Arrest made in robbery of Greenville gas station

GREENVILLE Co., SC (WSPA) — A Greenville man is accused of robbing a convenience store and other crimes.

Deputies say 48-year-old Ray Everette Dupree took several items Tuesday night from the Li’l Cricket at 6726 Augusta Road.

Dupree allegedly entered the store and left before later returning and taking several items.

Witnesses followed Massey. One of them stated Dupree had a gun.

The robbery happened around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies say Dupree was arrested nearby a short time later after they got a call of a suspicious person on the porch of a home and found Dupree along with several stolen items.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office charged Dupree with armed robbery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of crack cocaine.

Dupree is being held in the Greenville County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
