Asheville Chef Named Semifinalist for James Beard Award

Recognized for his simplistic and authentic Italian cooking style, Asheville chef Brian Canipelli of Cucina 24 was named a semifinalist for a 2016 James Beard Award. While in Italy, a few weeks ago he was nominated for Best Chef: Southeast. Jennifer Martin caught up with him after his return to see what he’s bringing to the table.

Cucina 24 is holding a reginal Italian wine dinner Wednesday, March 16 with dishes inspired by those Chef Canipelli tasted on his recent trip to Venice. The dinner is at 7pm and is $50 per plate. To enter to win a free dinner for two, click here. For reservations, call (828) 254-6170.
