Asheville Middle placed on lockdown Tues. after threat, juvenile ID’d as suspect


ASHEVILLE, NC (WSPA) – Asheville Middle School was placed on a lockdown Tuesday following a threat of violence, Asheville Police Department officials said. 

According to a police department news release, police coordinated with Asheville City Schools to place to middle school on lockdown around 12:30 p.m.

Following an investigation, police have identified a juvenile suspect. Charges are pending at this time.
