ASHEVILLE, NC (WSPA) – The city manager, Gary Jackson, says meters will charge $1.50 an hour starting on April 1.

That is a 25 cent increase.

City council voted for the change this week to help improve to 40-year-old Civic Center parking deck, according to the Citizen-Times.

They say improvements and maintenance are estimated to cost $9 million over the next 30 years.
