Asheville woman killed, man seriously hurt in shooting

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) — Police say a woman is dead and a man in the hospital after a shooting in Asheville.

Police say officers heard gunfire around 11:41 p.m. Tuesday while on patrol. 

Police found two shooting victims near 100 Bartlett Street.

Brandie Sherelle Angel, 27, of Asheville died of her injuries, according to police. They say a man was taken to Mission Health with serious injuries. 

The investigation into the double shooting is ongoing.
