Attempted child abduction reported at Anderson store

ANDERSON, S.C. (WSPA) — Anderson police are investigating an attempted child abduction at a store.

Anderson Police Department said in a social media post that officers responded Thursday to the Walmart grocery store on East Greenville Street where an attempted abduction of a child was reported.

Detectives are interviewing witnesses and reviewing video surveillance.

Police say there’s no danger to the public.
