Augmented reality ads coming to Facebook

Have you ever wanted to go shopping, but didn’t want to leave the house? Soon enough, you won’t have to worry about that.

Facebook is introducing new Augmented reality ads.

Users will be able to click on ads and use the camera on their phone to super-impose things like sunglasses or makeup on their face.

Michael Kors was the first to test the ads. Facebook says companies like Sephora and others are planning to roll out similar ads soon.

Experts say this could be huge for advertisers.

Some companies are already using this technology to let you look at products, such as furniture, in your home.

Augmented reality is also heavily used for gaming, like with Pokemon Go.
