SPARTANBURG Co., S.C. (WSPA) — Spartanburg City Council is considering a resolution that would help former inmates get back to work.

It’s called “ban the box.”

It would eliminate questions about criminal backgrounds.

The policy does not mean applicants won’t be given a background check, but they would not be required to answer questions about their criminal past up front.
