(WSPA) — An Arctic front will move through the area on Tuesday.
While the Upstate can expect to see mostly rain and a wintry mix along the South Carolina and North Carolina state line, snowfall is expected in the mountains.
On Monday, the National Weather Service forecasts snow across the North Carolina mountains and Northeast Georgia.
The NWS issued a winter storm warning from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday for elevations above 3,500 feet where snowfall could total 4 to 8 inches.
A winter storm advisory also takes effect early Tuesday morning for elevations below 3,500 feet where 1 to 3 inches of snow is expected.
