Boil water advisory issued for some Clemson residents

CLEMSON, SC (WSPA) – A boil water advisory has been issued for residents in the Ligon Street and Cedarwood Apartments located in the city of Clemson.

The advisory was issued as a precaution due to a water line tie in on Ligon Street. 

According to a new release, residents are asked to boil their water for at least one full minutes before drinking or cooking until otherwise notified by city officials.

For more information about the boil water advisory, call the City of Clemson Utilities Department at 864-653-2046 or the police department at 864-624-2000 after normal business hours.

According to the release, the City of Clemson will be collecting water samples in the area, and testing results are expected to be completed around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The results will be posted to the City of Clemson website.
