Boil water advisory issued in Greenwood Co.

GREENWOOD, Co. (WSPA) — Grennwood CPW says a boil water advisory remains in effect after a water line was hit Thursday.

The advisory affects residents and businesses in Garden Trace from Alders Gate, Bristol Court to The Meadows.

Greenwood CPW said it took effect Thursday afternoon. Sampling has been done and results are expected at 11:05 p.m. Friday.

In the meantime, people in the affected area are urged to vigorously boil water for at least one minute before drinking or consuming it.

Ice should not be used while the advisory is in effect.

Greenwood CPW said a telephone contractor was working in the area Thursday and hit a water line.
