Boiling Springs students sharing warmth with sock drive

SPARTANBURG Co., S.C. (WSPA) — Boiling Springs Middle School students are collecting socks for the homeless among other special projects.

Don Larke’s service learning class is living up to its name.

Students are collecting stuffed animals to gift to patients at Shriners Hospitals for Children.

The students have also raised hundreds of dollars for families in need and now have another heartwarming collection drive underway.

They have set a goal to collect 1,200 pairs of socks – a pair from each student – for the homeless.

In just five days, students collected 641 pairs.
