Burger King worker shot in robbery, deputies search for suspects

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) — Deputies are searching for two suspects who robbed Burger King employees, shooting one during the robbery.

It happened just before 1 a.m. Thursday at the Burger King at 3250 N. Pleasantburg Dr. 

Employees were leaving work when two males armed with handguns demanded money, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say at least one shot was fired, hitting a victim.

The victim was taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to Lt. Jimmy Bolt.  

Both robbers ran from the scene. 

Deputies say they were wearing masks and gray hoodies.
