Many different features on our cars are used during the winter and summer months so 7 News Daybreak stopped by Eurover on Woodruff road to find out what you need to check before you head out on a summer road trip.
As the weather gets warmer more people are out on the roads and more likely to experience a breakdown with their vehicle if they’re not making the proper repairs.
Wes Bradstreet at Eurover tells us checking your oil is something easy for most any driver to do and it can save you from breaking down.
He recommends checking the dip stick to make sure the oil level is reaching the indicator line and is changed every 3,000 to 5,000 miles.
Bradstreet recommends checking to make sure your tire inflation levels match the PSI level on the side of the door of your vehicle and assuring the tire tread is not matching the indicator bar on the tire.
A ring in the center of the tire means your tires are not properly inflated.
He also recommends making sure all air filters are changed regularly.
You’ll notice if the A/C has a problem a lot faster in the warmer months.
It’s also important to check your tire pressure and tread before you head out on a summer trip, so you don’t have to make any unscheduled stops.
Check your windshield wipers for wear, so you can fight off a summer storm.
