Champ the dog adopted by family in Delaware

Champ, the dog who was almost starved to death in Laurens Co., now looks healthy and happy and has been adopted by a family in Delaware. 

These are pictures of Champ just released by ‘Rescue Dogs Rock NYC.  

Champ was nearly starved to death in August. He was just skin and bones.

Investigators say he was left chained up in a backyard and was refused food and water. 

He was almost dead.

Champ was taken to a veterinarian in Columbia

Investigators say Elizabeth James is responsible for what happened.

They say she stopped feeding Champ in retaliation after her boyfriend broke up with her.

She’s charged with Ill Treatment of an Animal.

If she’s convicted she could spend 90 days in jail and face a thousand dollar fine.
