Chesnee High School students write quadratic formula rap song

A group of Chesnee High School students have been getting a lot of attention on social media after writing a rap song about the quadratic formula.

Spartanburg School District Two officials said the song was part of an assignment for the boys’ math class.

“One of our teachers, Terri Kimbrell at Chesnee High School, certainly is feeling appreciated after inspiring her students to put together an awesome rap song about the quadratic formula,” Adrian Acosta, Spartanburg School District Two director of public relations said.

Acosta said the boys wrote the song during Teacher Appreciation Week.

“Every teacher hopes to inspire their students and, in seeing that happen, they receive the greatest form of appreciation,” Acosta said.
