Chief Miller honors fallen officer Jacobs with a big jump

Today marks three years since Greenville police officer Allen Jacobs was killed in the line of duty.

He was shot while chasing a known gang member.

Since that day his fellow officers and the community have found many ways to honor his memory.

Greenville Police Chief Ken Miller says Jacobs was an example of the good in our community.

Chief Miller went to Florida to honor jacobs in a big way, he skydived in honor of fallen heroes.

Chief Miller jumped to honor Jacobs and his cousin James McNaughton who was a NYPD officer and a soldier killed in Iraq.

Miller did so with the help of the Curren family who honored fallen heroes too.

The Curren family hosts an adventure show on the Day Star Network titled β€œScaly Adventures.

They have worked with GPD in the past and wanted to work with Chief Miller again to honor Jacobs.
Chief Miller says his jump was a mental challenge, but it was something he wanted to do to honor one of his own.

Chief Ken Miller’s skydive will be part of an episode of Scaly Adventures.

The episode will be dedicated to fallen heroes and will air Fall 2019.
