SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA)– A British software company has an idea to cut down on carbon emissions on airlines, but iy might not sit well with everyone.

The idea would involve weighing passengers before they board the plane.

Airlines try to figure out how much weight they are carrying on every flight. They usually generate the numbers based on generic size estimations for passengers.

The British software company, “Fuel Matrix” says they have software that can take exact weight readings and calculate how much fuel is needed.
