Woman struck, killed on Wade Hampton Blvd. in Greenville Co.

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – A pedestrian has died after a crash in Greenville County early Saturday morning.

The crash happened on Wade Hampton Boulevard near Cherokee Drive at about 5:20 a.m., according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

A Mazda was traveling south on Wade Hampton Boulevard when it struck a woman who was attempting to cross the roadway, troopers said.

The victim, identified as 70-year-old Goldie Reeves of Greenville, died at the scene.

The manner of death has been ruled an accident, according to the coroner.
