The Anderson County Coroner’s Office confirms one person is dead after a shooting at a home in Anderson.
Deputies responded to a shooting around 7 p.m. Monday at a home on Whirlaway Circle.
Deputies say the incident began as a domestic dispute that led to one person being shot.
The coroner’s office identified the victim as Rodney Gilmer. The 50-year-old died later Monday night after suffering a gunshot wound during a domestic altercation, Deputy Coroner Don McCown said.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office says no arrests or charges have been made.
The investigation is ongoing as of Tuesday morning.
