Coroner identifies woman killed in Spartanburg Co. shooting

SPARTANBURG Co., S.C. (WSPA) – Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a deadly shooting on Bennett Dairy Road.

The coroner said 31-year-old Tiffany Dale Cartee died in the shooting.

Cartee is the daughter of a Spartanburg County fire chief.

Una Fire Chief Jeffrey Hadden asked the community to remember his family in their prayers.

In a post on Facebook, Hadden wrote:

“My oldest daughter (Tiffany) was shot and killed last night. Shelby is having a really hard time understanding why some guy who said that he loved her sister could kill her. Please keep the Cartee family in your prayers as well. That family has faced death to many times over the past few years. We were supposed to see Tiffany and the girls tomorrow to give them their Christmas gifts, but know we will not be able to celebrate any holidays with her again. RIP Tiffany. I love you!”

Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office has charged Jefferson Lee Perry III, 24, of Cowpens with murder in her shooting death.
