GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – Greenville County Coroner’s Office officials said human remains found along Lakeside Road two weeks ago have been identified.
The coroner’s office identified the remains as that of Shannon Pinson, 45.
We reported earlier that Pinson’s remains were found in the 100 block of Lakeside Road on March 29, after a man called 911 when his dog dragged in the remains.
The cause and manner of Pinson’s death is unknown at this time, the coroner’s office said.
Greenville County Sheriff’s Office’s Lt. Ryan Flood said investigators have since learned that Pinson lived in Greenville County and was last seen on Dec. 9, 2018.
Flood said Pinson was never reported as a missing person.
According to Flood, investigators are asking for anyone with information about this case to call Crime Stoppers of Greenville at 23-CRIME.
