Court order finalizing Jesse Osborne to be tried as adult filed

ANDERSON COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – The 10th Circuit Solicitor David Wagner announced that a court order, saying that the teen suspect in the Townville Elementary School shooting back in 2016 should be tried as an adult, was filed in Anderson County Clerk of Court’s Office on Wednesday.

According to the release, the filing formalized and finalized the decision by the court to transfer jurisdiction over Jesse Osborne’s charges he faces in General Sessions court.

On Feb. 12, a hearing was held in Family Court to  determine whether Osborne’s charges would be waived up to General Sessions Court to be tried as an adult.

We reported earlier that the court ruled in the state’s favor and agreed he tried as an adult.

Osborne is accused of killing a student in the shooting, as well as injuring another student and teacher.

He is also accused of killing his father.
