SPARTANBURG Co., S.C. (WSPA) — A driver has been charged in a chain reaction crash on Business 85 in Spartanburg County.
The wreck on southbound Business 85 by Fairforest Road happened around 6:35 a.m. Monday and blocked a lane of traffic for at least an hour.
Troopers report two people were injured in the four-vehicle crash.
Lance Cpl. Joe Hovis with the S.C. Highway Patrol said three vehicles had slowed for traffic in the southbound lane when the third vehicle was rear ended. Hovis said that vehicle hit the vehicle in front of it, causing it to hit another vehicle.
Two people were hospitalized following the accident.
Hovis said the driver who caused the crash was charged with driving too fast for conditions.
