Crews put out house fire in Easley

EASLEY, SC (WSPA) – Crews responded to a house fire on McAlister Road in Easley Monday afternoon.

According to a news release, firefighters responded to the fire just before 1 p.m. and found heavy smoke coming from the structure.

Crews were able to contain and extinguish the fire within 30 minutes.

According to the release, two smoke detectors alerted the residents inside the home and no injuries were reported.

Along with the Easley Fire Department, Easley Police Department, Easley Combined Utilities, Fort Hill Natural gas, Pickens County EMS and Rescue 8 responded to the scene.

The American Red Cross is currently assisting those impacted by the fire.
