PICKENS COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – Crews were called to multiple fire in Pickens County Tuesday afternoon.
According to Pickens County Emergency Management’s Twitter page, firefighters were called to a structure fire, a brush fire and several vehicle fires in Central.
Liberty Fire Department posted on their Facebook page that their crews responded to a box alarm to assist Central Fire Department around noon.
Firefighters were on-scene for about 5 hours to help combat and put out the fire.
Six Mile Fire and Clemson University Fire departments also responded to the scene.
Pictures from the scene posted on Liberty Fire’s Facebook post showed a structure engulfed in flames and the fire spreading to vehicles near the building.
According to Liberty Fire, the cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.
