Coroner IDs woman who drowned off Goldmine Rd. in Spartanburg Co., search continues for another missing person

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Officials are investigating a drowning that happened on Friday night and are continuing to search for another missing person.

Glendale Fire Department officials said the call came in at about 7 p.m. Friday for a possible drowning on Goldmine Road.

According to the coroner, sheriff’s personnel recovered the person from the water at Lawsons Fork Creek.

40-year-old Brandy Boughman, of Spartanburg, was identified by the coroner.

A forensic autopsy and toxicology examination will be conducted Saturday, the coroner said.

According to the coroner’s office, Spartanburg EMS, Glendale fire department, New Prospect fire department and Converse Fire crews are continuing to search for another missing person.
