Death investigation underway after body found in Georgia creek

ROYSTON, Ga. (WSPA) — State authorities are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found partially submerged in a creek days after her disappearance.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation identified the victim as 28-year-old Amber Brittany Hester.

Investigators think the Royston woman had been dead several days before her body was found in Hanna Creek on Friday, June 8.

Hester disappeared several days before the tragic discovery.
