Man’s stabbing death being investigated as a homicide in Greenville Co.

GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA) – Police and the coroner’s office are investigating after a man was found dead inside his home on Orange Street in Greenville.

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office identified the man as 44-year-old Reginald Lamont Brownlee.

According to Greenville Police, officers responded to the scene at around 1:30 p.m. for a welfare check.

Police said Brownlee had not shown up to work in a few days.

Officers responding to the scene found the door open at the house and the man dead inside.

An autopsy performed on Thursday revealed that Brownlee died from a stab wound to the abdomen.

His manner of death was deemed a homicide.

The coroner’s office and police are continuing to investigate.
