GREER, SC (WSPA) – A Delta Airlines flight from Richmond to Atlanta made an emergency landing at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport, Sunday evening.

According to a statement released by Delta, the MD-88 aircraft had around 149 passengers and 5 crew on board.

Flight 1307 took off from Richmond just before 6:00pm and made an emergency landing at GSP around 7:00pm.

Delta says the flight was diverted due to a possible maintenance issue.

“The MD-88 aircraft landed without incident and customers will be reaccommodated on an alternate aircraft,” said Delta in a statement. “The safety of our customers and crew is always our top priority.”
