DHEC reports 629 new coronavirus cases, 14 additional deaths

COLUMBIA, SC (WSPA) – State health officials announced 629 new confirmed coronavirus cases in South Carolina and 14 additional deaths Tuesday.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Carolina is now 152,963 with 3,371 confirmed deaths.

The percent of positive tests among those reported Tuesday (6,149) was 10.2%.

745 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. 201 of those patients are in the ICU with 90 on a ventilator.

A total of 1,655,741 tests have been conducted statewide.
