Man dies after shooting on Bates Crossing Rd in Greenville Co.

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A man who was injured in a shooting Monday night in Greenville County has died.

Greenville County deputies responded at about 8:10 p.m. to a home on Bates Crossing Road in reference to a gunshot victim.

The victim was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital where he later died.

The Greenville County Coroner identified the man as 51-year-old John David Siggers of Marietta.

The coroner said Siggers was shot in the head and his death has been ruled a homicide.

The sheriff’s office is investigating the shooting, but say they are not looking for any suspects at this time.
