Downed tree causes traffic issues on I-26 near Landrum

South Carolina Highway Patrol said a downed tree on Interstate 26 caused multiple crashes and delayed traffic Friday evening. 

The tree fell across the roadway near miler marker 1 on I-26 at about 7:19 p.m. 

Troopers said multiple cars crashed into the tree. Other drivers swerved to avoid the tree and crashed into debris. 

No injuries have been reported, according to SCHP. 

7News crews on scene said I-26 lanes have been reopened to traffic.
