Dozens of animals killed in Huntington Beach State Park fire


MURRELLS INLET, SC – (WBTW) Firefighters responded to a fire at Huntington Beach State Park Wednesday Morning.

They say it happened at the park’s nature center.

State park employees confirm there were dozens of animals in the nature center including alligators, snakes, fish, and crabs.

Midway Fire Chief Doug Eggiman believes none of the animals survived the fire.

Horry County, Midway, and Murrells Inlet crews are still on scene.
