GREENVILLE Co., S.C. (WSPA) — Troopers say a Greenville driver died from injuries they suffered in a head-on crash.
Lance Cpl. Joe Hovis with the S.C. Highway Patrol said a 31-year-old driver from Greenville was traveling north on White Horse Road when they crossed the center line and hit an SUV headed in the opposite direction.
The crash happened just before 4 a.m. Friday.
Both drivers were hospitalized with injuries.
Troopers say the driver who crossed the center line died of their injuries at the hospital.
Their name has not been released at this time.
It was one of several crashes in recent days across the Upstate.
On Friday night, an Inman bicyclist was hit and killed on Rainbow Lake Road. Troopers arrested a woman for felony hit-and-run involving a death in that accident.
An 18-year-old girl died following a head-on crash Saturday night in Greenville County. Trinity Harrison was a passenger in a car that was hit by a wrong-way driver. School officials said the teen was headed home from the prom.
Both drivers were killed in a head-on crash Saturday night on Highway 5 in Cherokee County.
