A man accused of stealing tools from a home in Anderson was arrested thanks to video of the crime being posted on Facebook.

Robert Lee Crocker, 51, was charged with grand larceny by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. He turned himself in to deputies on Thursday afternoon.

Several tools were taken from a carport at a home on Phil Watson Road on Monday. The homeowner had a home surveillance system and posted video of the theft on Facebook.

Anderson County deputies say several people called their office and identified Crocker from the video.

Crocker told deputies he would turn himself in and is now being held at the Anderson County Detention Center. He’s awaiting a bond hearing.
