Fall leaves forecast: Stubborn, warm temps may delay foliage

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) — Even into September, we’re still feeling strong heat and humidity.

Whether it’s a great year for leaf-looking, or just average, is still up for debate.

Forecasters say the longer it stays warm in the Carolinas, the longer we have to wait for those pops of color.

Cooler days, turning to even colder nights, are ideal for vibrant fall foliage.

The real peak will come in mid-October this year, according to experts.
