Family notified of veteran who died at homeless shelter

LEXINGTON Co., S.C. (WSPA) — The Lexington County Coroner has found and has made contact with the family of a veteran, who died at a shelter for homeless veterans

James Clyde Hutchens Jr., 56 — who had ties to the Upstate — died of natural causes on Sept. 13, according to the Lexington County Coroner’s Office.

Hutchens was a U.S. Army veteran. He passed away at a shelter for homeless veteran in Lexington County. 

The coroner said Hutchens could have family in Spartanburg, S.C.
