FDA: Several children’s medicines recalled due to possible contamination

(WSPA) – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced that King Bio is voluntarily recalling several children’s medicines.

According the FDA, King Bio said a small percentage of their products — made between Aug. 1, 2017 and April 2018 — tested positive for microbial contamination, and said they have issued a voluntary recall out of caution.

In the release, administering or using the products listed below could possibly result in “increased infections that may require medical intervention, and could result in infections that could be life threatening to certain individuals.”

  • Children’s Growth & Development – 2 oz bottle
  • DK Newborn Tonic – 2 oz bottle
  • DK Nosebleed Relief – 2 oz bottle
  • TonsilPlex – 2 oz bottle
  • Children’s Ear Relief Formula – 2 oz bottle
  • DK Teething – 2 oz bottle
  • DK Colic Relief – 2 oz bottle
  • Tummy Aches – 2 oz bottle

According to the release, King Bio has no received any reports of injury or illness.
