The US Marshals Fugitive Task Force along with SLED’s fugitive division are helping search for Woodruff Murder Suspect Adriel Garnett.
Garnett is accused of shooting and killing 40-year-old Cecil Gilliam at his home on February 6.
Since the shooting, rumors have swirled that Garnett had confronted Gilliam about possibly being his father. Gilliam’s wife doesn’t believe that stating that Gilliam would have taken care of Garnett if he was his son.
Police say Garnett tried to hide at family members homes in the Upstate, but they called police and Garnett ran before they got there.
Police believe he could be headed to the Columbia or Goose Creek area.
